The Vizier is the first true enemy the Prince encounters. The Vizier is truly evil and values only riches and immortality. He appears in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. His first role in the Prince of Persia series was the advisor of the Maharajah's leader, he later discovered the location of the Island of Time and convinced the Maharajah to explore it. It was at the Island of Time where the Maharajah discovered the Hourglass of Time and the Dagger of Time and where the Vizier discovered his powerful staff. However upon returning to India both the Hourglass and the Dagger were locked away in the Maharajah's treasure vault much to the disapproval of the Vizier.

The Sands of Time

In Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time the Vizier initiates the plot by bribing the sultan of Babylon to attack India in exchange for unbelievable treasures. Things didn't quite turn out at the Vizier planned when the Hourglass is offered as a gift to the Sultan of Azad and the Dagger was found by the Prince. However the Vizier was able to convince the naive Prince to use the Dagger on the Hourglass and unleash the Sands of Time. Near the end of the game, the Vizier intervenes with the Prince's plans, nearly killing Farah in order to stop the Prince from reversing time. Though, the Prince does succeed. In the end, the Prince defeats the Vizier one last time in order to return the Dagger of Time to Farah.

The Two Thrones

In Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones the Prince returns to Babylon to find that the Vizier has nearly destroyed the entire city. The Vizier soon kills Kaileena with the Dagger of Time and stabs himself with it to become immortal. He also captures Farah and attempts to make her his immortal bride. Prince puts an end to these plans and kill the Vizier once in for all.
